The Menin Gate Memorial commemorates those who died in the Ypres Salient before 16^th April 1917 and who have no known grave. Corporal Alfred Gundry was probably killed in action during the Battle of Gheluvett (29^th – 31^st October 1914).

Alfred Gundry was the son of Walter and Emily Gundry. He was born in Abbotsbury and enlisted at Cardiff.
